CRAFT Challenge #717 - Recycle/ATG

We have a new challenge up for you over on the CRAFT Challenge blog.  We would love for you to join us this week in creating with something you have recycled or has to do with recycling and anything goes.

Our Sponsor this week is -

I had the pleasure of using one of the darling images our sponsor provided for us this week called Flower Dreams.  I created the bottom background layer by gluing some packing paper to a paper that was headed to the trash bin.  The pattern paper was misprinted on 20# paper so I glued it to another piece of paper that had been dirtied.  Lastly the tag was cut down from a retail clothing tag including the twine.

Join us over at the CRAFT Challenge blog!  Let's see what you can recycle.

I appreciate your visit!

Brenda

Little Red Wagon #753 - Show Us Your Eggs (Easter projects)

Chrissy is our fab hostess this week over at Little Red Wagon.  Her challenge this week is to "Show Us Your Eggs (or Easter projects)".  I'm sure you've taken some pics of the lovely projects you created.

As you can see I used some older, NBUS dies to create little Easter treat boxes for my family.  I stamped a little Happy Easter on each panel.  Using up those scraps again for this project!  That always makes me happy.

Why don't you give our challenge a go this week and head on over to Little Red Wagon and link up. While you're there, be sure to check out the wonderful projects the other Girlfriends have created.

Brenda

TCP - It Came Back

Happy Tuesday! I'm here with a quickie card that I personally think I'm going to make again to hang somewhere in my house.  I absolutely adore the fun sentiments from Don't Feed the Dust Bunnies Digistamp.  And they work perfectly with the cute images from Shine On Digistamps.

To make this card, I used Silhouette Studio to create a background of patterned paper from Spring is Here and just sized and placed the sentiment on top and printed. Next I picked the little duster and spray bottle  from Shine On.  They were sized, printed and colored with Copic markers.  I can't currently get to my electronic cutting machine, so I fussy cut the images and layered everything on a piece of white card.  So fun, and quick to do!

Here are all the digital designs from the March release I used for this project -

As You Like It Challenge #282 - Clean or Fussy

It's Thursday again and time for a new As You Like It Challenge.  This fortnight our challenge theme is to share your favorite, clean or fussy. For a chance to win our prize or top-3 spot, your project needs to show your favorite and you need to tell us why you've made your choice.  That way, we can all appreciate why it's your favourite.

This week our sponsor is:

Honestly, I just love making any kind of card.  Sometimes I love creating clean cards and other times, I really have fun making fussy cards.  This time I have to say fussy.  This card doesn't have a lot going on at first glance, but it did take several steps to complete it and I loved the process it took and all the texture that was achieved.  There is the stenciled "wallpaper", the stained and glossed floor, the potted plants and the sentiment sign.  It was all such fun to create with Frantic Stamper Stamps and dies.

We would love for you to head back to the AYLI blog to link up your creation.  While you are there, check out the prize that's up for grabs and take a look at the gorgeous creations the DT made for you to see!

Thanks for stopping by!

Aloha,
Brenda

Little Red Wagon #752 - Congrats

Wednesday has rolled around again, and it's time for a new challenge.  I have to give credit for this challenge to Imke, tho I am hosting this week.  She is saying "Congrats" and is asking for projects that reflect that.  Think birthdays, weddings, graduation, new baby, things along that line.

I have a bunch of birthdays this month, so I created a birthday card using an image from Lee Holland that I scored during a recent sale.  I colored him up with Copic markers and die cut a sentiment from Frantic Stamper.

I hope you'll be able to find the time to create along with us this week.  Link up your projects over at Little Red Wagon.

Aloha,
Brenda

If You Like Snarky...

I honestly have had a tough time keeping up with things this year, so this stamp set will probably be getting plenty more use. This belated birthday card was made using Frantic Stamper stamps and dies; Stitched Rectangles (FRA-DIE-09640), Don't Forget to Flush (FRA-DIE-11055), Modern Birthday Cake (FRA-DIE-10814), Oh Crap (FRA-CL-179).

This card was very fast to create.  I did all the die cutting and did a little shading on the commode and candle.  The images were adhered to the stitched rectangle and the sentiment was stamped using a stamp positioner

Here's another snarky, bathroom themed card. Hopefully I won't have to use this one anytime soon.😉 Frantic Stamper stamps and dies used for this card are; Oh Crap (FRA-CL-179), Toilet Necessities (FRA-DIE-11056).

This is another super simple one.  I created the background by blending some distress oxide ink, unfortunately I didn't write down the color(s) and I can't remember at this point.  I kinda looks like a blend of cracked pistachio and salvaged patina.  I die cut the TP from white cardstock that had been covered with tissue and the plunder from plain white cardstock.  The plunger was colored with Copic markers.  The die cuts were positioned and glued and the sentiment was stamped using a stamp positioner
