Simon Says Anything Goes!

SSS Wednesday Challenge is showcasing Lawn Fawn, I thought I would share this little goodie bag I made for my co-workers.

I used the Lawn Cuts Goodie Bag and decorated it with Snow Day papers and stamps.  The little border is the Lawn Cuts Stitched Scalloped Border.  My local stamp store was out of the Lawn Cuts to match the stamp set, so I fussy cut the cute little bunnies and trees.  I decorated the trees with gold Stickles.  The bunny have a little Copic shading on them.

I loved looking at some of the other creations linked to this challenge...such talent, it inspires me!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by here.  I love reading your comments and visiting your blogs.

Aloha,
Brenda

All Dressed Up...I'm in Love!

I have seen these wonderful images on Pintrest and never took the time to check out whose images they were until recently.  Then I happen on to the All Dressed up Challenge blog and noticed they were having a DT call.  I really don't consider myself to be of the same caliber as the other DT members, but again decided what have I got to lose?  What I lack in talent, I would make up for with enthusiasm! I LOVE these beautiful images by Wendy Burns.  Again, I'm getting in just under the wire.  So here's a couple of cards I made:

Believe it or not this is a Freebie

Happy Thanksgiving!

I want to wish all my US friends Happy Thanksgiving!  My husband and I are doing things a bit differently this year.  Since it's only the two of us and his mom, we are splurging.  He started the day his favorite way...surfing.  He brought home a beautiful sushi platter for lunch and for dinner we are going to have a supreme pizza (LARGE).   We will have that with a salad and a brew and watch the Seahawks and the 49ers!  How's that for perfect?  The splurge is that we usually try to eat healthy, but we both LOVE pizza, so this is quite a treat.  I have never professed to be a cook and make it clear I don't like cooking.  I would much rather spend my time as I have today, making little creations of some sort!  It's beautiful here today, a perfect trade wind day, so right now the only thing that could make life any better would be to have my kids here.

Enough about me...here's one of the little tags I made today.  It's much more glimmery than it appears here.  Wish I could capture it better.  Loved putting this together!  I'm going to post his little brother on SplitCoast here.

I plan on entering this tag in:
The Cat's Pajamas December blog hop
Merry Monday-#136 (Red, Green and White)

TTT-Buttons or Bows

This week the challenge for Top Tip Tuesday is Buttons or Bows.  I couldn't decide, so I did both!  I love ribbon and buttons and when you combine that with an image by Zlatoena's Design, you've made me one happy stamper!

The image I am using is known as Bunny with Christmas Candy.  You can also find him in the "Raising Cane" set from The Cat's Pajamas.

The card layout was inspired by Deconstructed Sketch #175.

Come on by Top Tip Tuesday and join us for a chance to win images from:

Visit her shop here.

Before I sign off, I want to share a tip.  If you don't have a magnetic platform for your die cutting machine, you probably know you can use low tack tape to hold your die in the correct position.  If you don't have low tack tape, you can take regular tape (I can't bear to "waste" my washi tape) or painter's tape and press it several times against clothing or your skin to remove some of the tack.  Don't throw it away after that!  I place prepared tape on the side of my table where it is easy to grab, it can be used it over and over.

Thanks for stopping by.  Can't wait to see your creations!

Brenda

Holiday Card Workshop 2014, Day 5

I had some time to make my first project from the online card class. I'm not sure why, but every time I enroll, my life gets too busy! This little tag was inspired by the tag Laura Streckx made, in fact it is almost a direct CASE. I loved her video, such a talented young woman.

For my tag, I used Distress Ink to color the background and a SU! background stamp for the flurries.  The cute tree is decorated with Stickles.  I'm going to add some texture to the hats, but forgot until just now:).  I wish I could capture the sparkle better in photos, it has such a wonderful hint of shine.

I hope your weekend has been all that you hoped it would be.  My daughter told me they are expecting snow on Monday...she is going tomorrow to buy her first ice scrapper...not much need for those here.

Aloha,
Brenda

Top Tip Tuesday Challenge-Chevrons!

The current Top Tip Tuesday Challenge is to use Chevrons.  Boy have I had a change in heart about chevrons.  When I first noticed them trending, I wasn't a real fan.  I'm loving them now!  I felt very fortunate to have found a retired Stamping' UP! set, Oh, Hello.  When I read this challenge, I immediately though of it.  As I was putting together my card last night, I opened my drawer of already colored images and found these wonderful Lili of the Valley cuties! Hope you're not tired of Christmas, but that is my focus right now, only about 10 more to do!

So, here's what developed (both are much more glimmery IRL):

 And here's #2:

I think I'm going to try to sneak them into the ABC Christmas Challenge: V is for Very Merry Christmas and the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge #283: Fantasy.  They should also work Christmas Cards All year 'Round November Challenge: No Patterned paper.

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend.  Wishing you blessings for the coming week!
